I am a German fine art photographer whose work explores the quiet beauty of nature and the details that often remain unnoticed. Growing up close to nature in Thuringia, Germany, I developed an early fascination with landscapes and the natural world, which continues to shape my photography today. My work is predominantly monochrome and minimalist, focusing on form, structure, light, stillness, and the subtle transformations found in nature. Rather than simply documenting a subject, I try to reduce an image to its essential elements and reveal something that might otherwise be overlooked. My ongoing projects include Botanical Studies and its darker counterpart The B-Sides, exploring the sculptural qualities of plants; Lights, Shadows, and Glaciers, a long-term study of the glaciers and high mountains of the Swiss Alps; and Still Waters, a series of minimalist long-exposure seascapes. Across these different bodies of work, the underlying idea remains the same: to slow down, look closer, and discover beauty in the seemingly ordinary. For me, the final fine art print is an essential part of this process, transforming the photographic image into a physical object that can be experienced beyond the screen.
