I challenged myself to create a watercolor every single day for one year, inspired by a place that made me pause. Currently past Day 240 of this consecutive daily journey, every 5" x 5" vignette is painted inside Hahnemühle watercolor sketchbooks, bringing my personal travel photographs and memories to life. Instead of postcard views, I focus on the quiet, memorable moments—the simple scenes that often go unnoticed, like a sun-drenched bench or a quiet, charming alleyway. As an architect, my travels have taught me that the most lasting memories come from the scenes we almost walked past. By painting in a small sketchbook, I can quickly and honestly capture both what I saw and what I experienced.
