Ralf Schultheiss is a German photographer, publisher, and art director. After earning his degree in Visual Communications in 1980, Schultheiss worked as a freelance photographer. Over the decades, his assignments took him to numerous countries around the world. This resulted in an extensive body of work spanning photojournalism, magazine photography, advertising, and portraiture. He became particularly well-known as a people photographer, with his work appearing in national and international magazines, advertising campaigns, and exhibitions. His photographic style is characterized by an immediate, authentic visual language and a deep emotional connection to his subjects. Schultheiss prefers to work outside of traditional studio settings.
