I'm an Industrial Engineer by training and a geometry-based artist by profession. I was born in 1973 (do the math for my age). I think I've always had a compass and ruler in my hand. I remember starting to draw with a ruler and compass when I was... about 5 years old? Two passions have been with me since I was very young: geometric (and technical) drawing and photography. When I was little, I used to take my father's camera and experiment with it. In the days of film (there was no digital photography), imagine the constant surprises I gave when the film ran out and the enormous expense my parents incurred on "experimental" photos of me. At 18, I discovered computer-aided design and then design and photo editing software. Now, I combine hand drawing and computer design. After many years working in engineering at various companies, I finally decided to dedicate myself to my two passions. I now create artworks based on geometry, not only Islamic but from various world cultures, and I also photograph different landscapes from around the globe as I travel.
