JapanBetween instant and eternity, in the fragile space of impermanence, my way of photographing takes shape. I seek the moment in which light appears and then fades, revealing presences made of shadow and reflection. My work arises from the desire to observe and reflect on the elements that, through time and light, connect cultures across this continent.
I try to make the ephemeral tangible, searching for subtle presences that emerge in the relationships between places, symbols, and human traces. Every photograph becomes a threshold, a silent dialogue that lets what is invisible yet present emerge.
Light unveils, leaves traces of time, and protects in its absence. Between what reflects and what vanishes, my photography takes form. Each image is a fragment of connection, a gesture of listening, offering the viewer pathways that link the photograph to their own memories.
I photograph slowly, returning to places under different conditions, waiting for light to reveal what they hold. Light is a deception: we see only its reflection, which changes before reaching the mind, where it intertwines with memory and sensation. I try to restore a perception — an ephemeral relationship between light, matter, time, and memory — that becomes tangible once printed.
My tools do not alter places; they make them readable. Filters that purify light, techniques that balance tones, and minimal post‑production that preserves truth. My work becomes a way to reduce the world to its essence, inviting deeper attention to the passing of time.
