United StatesHayden Dumaw
United StatesHayden Dumaw is an American wildlife photographer and biostatistician who has dedicated himself to photographing animals in their natural habitats across the globe. Self-taught from the ground up with no formal training, it started with birds near his home and grew into a passion that has taken him across many different continents and ecosystems. Hayden doesn't limit himself to a single subject or species. What draws him most to wildlife photography is the details- the ones that are easy to miss if you're not paying attention. Getting close, being patient, and finding those fleeting moments is at the heart of his practice. He maintains a strict no-AI policy: every image is a real photograph of a real wild animal, exactly as it appeared in the field.
His work has been featured by National Geographic - one of his proudest accomplishments - and he hopes his journey, from photographing backyard birds to that recognition, serves as proof that passion, patience, and dedication can take you further than you ever imagined. But recognition is never the focus. "At its core, my work is about passion and conservation," he says. "If my images can ignite appreciation for wildlife and inspire others to care more about protecting it, that means everything to me."
