Light painting, painting with light, light drawing or light art performance photography are terms that describe photo- graphic techniques in which a light source is moved while taking a long exposure. Either to illuminate a subject or a room or to expose the film in order to “draw” with light. This technique has been practised since the 1880s and is used for both scientific and artistic purposes and in commercial photography.
