Een ijskoude wind raasde over het strand van Ameland. Mijn statief waaide bijna om tijdens het maken van deze foto. Ik had al een lange tijd in gedachte om zo’n foto te maken maar telkens ontbrak er iets om de foto te laten slagen. De stroming was vaak niet goed of het zand was vies. Waardoor de foto’s vaak niet geslaagd waren. Na een lange fietstocht kwamen we op het strand waar de omstandigheden perfect waren. Ik maakte de foto en keek achterop het scherm.
