This chapter of my 365 Days of Travel Watercolors marks the journey's arrival in Africa. Painted from my own photographs of Namibia, these small watercolors explore immense desert plains, sculptural trees, towering dunes, wildlife, waterholes and distant mountains. After the subtle colors of the Negev, Namibia introduces a new language of stronger silhouettes, bolder color, dramatic light and extraordinary scale.
