Every piece begins as my own photograph, made in the field on medium format. The image is transferred by hand onto a prepared rigid panel, then finished with acrylic and pastel How far the hand goes is decided by the image itself. The result is an object, not a print — surface, relief, and materials that shift with the light and cannot be reproduced.
