A watercolor inspired by a memorial field near Rudniki, Ukraine. Beneath the landscape lie the remains of Jewish men, women, and children from Rudniki, Mostyska, and nearby communities who perished during the Holocaust. The memorial marker, made possible through the efforts of my wife's sister years before our visit, stands as a reminder that remembrance matters. Part of an ongoing Poland & Ukraine Roots Journey and 365-day watercolor project.
