A watercolor inspired by a small stream in western Ukraine that once powered a flour mill belonging to my wife's mother's great-uncle. Hidden beneath a weathered blue and yellow railing, the water continues to flow long after the people connected to it are gone. Part of my Poland & Ukraine Roots Journey within an ongoing 365-day watercolor project, the painting reflects memory, family history, and the overlooked places that quietly endure.
