A watercolor inspired by a village road in Rudniki, Ukraine. During a roots journey tracing my wife's family history, this ordinary stretch of road came to connect homes, memories, people, a mill stream, and places that had existed only in stories for generations. Part of an ongoing 365-day watercolor project, the painting reflects the hidden connections that transform a landscape into a family story.
