Inspired by a sheltered inlet along Portugal's Algarve coast, this watercolor explores the enduring relationship between water and stone. Limestone cliffs, sea caves, and isolated rock formations reveal a landscape shaped gradually over time by the persistent movement of the Atlantic. Painted as part of my 365 Days of Travel Watercolors project, the work reflects the slow processes that continue to transform the coastline, one wave at a time.
