A study of the restrained palette of Israel's Negev Desert, where white chalk, pale cream, muted ochre, rose, and violet create a landscape that can initially appear nearly colorless. A small patch of vegetation provides a concentrated note of green, made more noticeable by the quiet colors surrounding it. Created as part of my ongoing 365 Days of Travel Watercolors project.
