Description
This work is an abstract rendering of a small section of the rock formations along the Asturian coast at Playa del Silencio, often called the “layers of time.” While rooted in geology, the image suggests to me a mountainscape with a river flowing through it. I’m drawn to the quiet dialogue between what is seen and what is felt, finding inner landscapes inside outer landscapes. Here, time and memory shape both the land and the self in a slow, reflective passage.
