Part of my 365 Days of Travel Watercolors project, this painting was inspired by the sea caves of Portugal's Algarve coast. Looking outward through an opening shaped by centuries of erosion, the watercolor explores the relationship between stone, water, and perspective. The cave itself becomes a frame, drawing attention to the landscape beyond while revealing the forces that continue to shape the coastline.
