Warm stone buildings rise in layers above a small burst of flowers in Matera, Italy. I was drawn to the contrast between the ancient, weathered architecture and the fragile color growing among it. Part of my 365-day watercolor project, this painting reflects my fascination with places where architecture, time, and everyday life remain visibly intertwined.
