A watercolor inspired by a village home encountered during the Ride for the Living from Auschwitz to Kraków. Laundry drying in the summer air, flowers on the windowsill, and the quiet routines of everyday life offered a powerful reflection on continuity and renewal. Part of my Poland & Ukraine Roots Journey and ongoing 365-day watercolor project, the painting explores the idea that remembrance is not only about looking backward, but also about recognizing the life that continues around us.
