A watercolor inspired by a former Jewish cemetery in Dubiecko, Poland, the town where my wife's father was born. The headstones were removed long ago, taking many names and stories with them. Today, a fence, a gate, and a Star of David mark the place that remains. Part of my Poland & Ukraine Roots Journey within an ongoing 365-day watercolor project, this painting reflects memory, family history, and the traces of the past that survive even when individual names do not.
