Sparse shrubs occupy the pale, layered terrain of Israel's Negev Desert, their muted greens settling naturally among creams, ochres, and dusty pinks. Rather than portraying the landscape as empty, this watercolor considers how seemingly sparse vegetation belongs completely to the environment in which it grows. Created as part of my ongoing 365 Days of Travel Watercolors project.
