Dunes stretch across Namibia’s Namib-Naukluft National Park, their pale surfaces divided by sweeping areas of deep shadow. With almost nothing but sand and light to define the landscape, the shadows create the geometry, revealing ridges, depressions and curves that might otherwise disappear into one continuous field of sand. This small watercolor explores a landscape whose form changes not because the dunes have moved, but because the light has.
