A quiet street in Lagos, Portugal revealed an unexpected composition of whitewashed walls, simple windows, and delicate sculptures rising above a rooftop. The broad planes of white and a strong diagonal create a sense of order, while the whimsical forms along the roofline introduce mystery and playfulness. Painted as Day 223 of my 365-day watercolor project, this piece celebrates the poetry found in overlooked corners rather than celebrated landmarks.
