A quiver tree rises from the broad desert plains of Namibia, its clustered trunks and dense crown creating a strong vertical presence against the horizontal landscape. Two smaller trees stand in the distance before a blue-violet mountain range, emphasizing the scale and openness of the terrain. This painting begins the Namibia chapter of my ongoing 365 Days of Travel Watercolors project and marks the project's arrival in Africa, its fourth continent.
