A watercolor inspired by the Polish countryside encountered during the Ride for the Living from Auschwitz to Kraków. Hay bales, fields, waterways, and distant forests formed the landscape through which riders traveled on a journey dedicated to remembrance and renewal. Part of an ongoing 365-day watercolor project and Poland & Ukraine Roots Journey, the painting reflects the quiet beauty of the places that shape a journey even when they are not its destination.
