A watercolor inspired by a building in Mostyska, Ukraine that was once home to my wife's grandmother, Nany. A postcard from 1904 shows the same building standing over the town square more than a century ago. Part of my Poland & Ukraine Roots Journey within an ongoing 365-day watercolor project, the painting explores family memory, place, and the realization that the people we love lived entire lives before we ever knew them.
