A watercolor inspired by a pair of white storks nesting above a village in western Ukraine. Known locally as leleky, these birds are symbols of family, home, peace, and good fortune. Created as part of my Poland & Ukraine Roots Journey within an ongoing 365-day watercolor project, the painting reflects the many forms home can take, from places and memories to traditions passed from one generation to the next.
